Scientific Lead

Role overview and requirements 

This role provides an exciting opportunity to support a high profile, fast-paced publications account. As an experienced scientific/editorial lead, you'll be responsible for leading important publications, supporting a team of Medical Writers and Editorial Assistants, and liaising with global clients and renowned medical experts.

In this senior role, you'll oversee and develop publication strategies, review manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals, and content for medical congresses. Experience of navigating complex data and approval processes while ensuring scientific rigor and editorial excellence is essential. 

What we are looking for: 

• PhD or MSc in a biological, biomedical, pharmacological or medical discipline
• ~>7 years' experience in healthcare communications scientific/editorial roles
• Previous mentoring and/or line management experience
• Extensive briefing and reviewing experience
• Excellent editorial/writing skills and attention to detail
• Excellent strategic understanding 
• Excellent communication skills 
• Excellent organisational skills 
• Excellent leadership and team-working ability 
• Excellent time management  
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Excellent decision-making ability 
• Excellent presentation skills
